BCA Drama Department
School drama programs offer numerous benefits that contribute to students' personal, social, and academic growth. Our program helps students develop skills and qualities far beyond the stage. Whether or not they pursue a career in the arts, the experiences gained in our drama program will positively shape their futures. Theatre helps students with various skills, from communication, critical thinking, and teamwork to personal skills, including empathy, confidence, and self-expression.
Bay City Academy offers a Music Theatre class built into our daily school schedule. In theatre class, students learn many performance techniques, including acting, singing, and dancing. Students can help with student directing, assistant directing, choreography, and set design during competition season.
Our students thrive and succeed in the field of theatre. From kindergarten to 12th grade, they learn critical skills and develop a passion for musical theatre and the performing arts. We are beyond grateful that we get the opportunity to produce three to four musicals each year: our fall musical (which includes grades 3rd through 12th), our spring musical (which encompasses students from kindergarten through 12th grade), and our middle and high school competition one-act shows.
