On Friday, May 16th, second and third graders gave an unforgettable performance in the musical, "Character Matters". Students explored the character traits: kindness, respect, and responsibility and what it means to have good character with the help of some fairytale roles. Our students did a phenomenal job! We would like to thank everyone for attending.

Last Friday, we had the honor of opening up our school for a night full of fun and dancing at the Farragut Campus. Students, parents and staff were gleaming with excitement when they entered the gymnasium doors to see colorful lights, balloons, a photo booth, and much more! It was a night to remember in great company.

Our primary grade levels K-1 went on an exciting adventure to Midland Center for the Arts/Dow Gardens on Tuesday, April 8th and Wednesday, April 9th. Students learned some very valuable knowledge on frogs at their live frog exhibit as well as visited the 'Butterflies in Bloom' to witness the interaction and flight of thousands of colorful butterflies from all over the world.

On Saturday, March 8th, 2014, our Bay City Academy Robotics team visited Kettering University Recreation Center in Flint, MI for their first district competition. At the kickoff back in January, teams had six weeks to assemble their robots. Each rookie team received the same kit of necessary items. Once assembled, they then leave them untouched until competition begins. This outstanding event was successful and our Bay City Academy students won FIRST place in their district competition. They are now district champions and went undefeated in the finals. Students came home with trophies, banners, and medals. We could not be more proud of these talented young individuals that represent our school each and every day. This was a terrific opportunity to expand their scientific knowledge and abilities in engineering. We are looking forward to our next competition on March 27th-29th in Waterford, MI.
